To flush the unit turn on hot and cold water supplies and flush water lines into a container for one minute. This flushes away any debris that could cause damage to internal parts. Alas, it was the aerator!  One faucet was fine, the 2nd faucet needed the aerator removed and cleaned.  There is a tool in the package to easily remove the aerator.
