This bar is installed at my home in the shower. There are two round metal pieces that are over where the bar has been attached to the wall. One of these bars has come loose and I cannot get it to stay, it just falls around the arm. Help me.

Is the 41812 Contemporary Decorative ADA Grab bar in Chrome finish designed to be used in a shower or does it need to be Stainless finish or are neither designed to be used in a shower? Thanks

Thank you for your question! The Delta Contemporary 12" Grab Bar 41812 (Chrome or Stainless finishes) can be installed inside the shower and has a Lifetime Limited Warranty on parts and finish. It will not be affected by exposure to water.

I am searching for a grab bar that has some texture to its finish so that it is not slippery when a person grabs it and it is wet. Do you have such a thing?

What is the hole spacing on the flanges (for locating mounting screws. That would be from two holes on the opposite sides of center)?

Are the Delta Decor Double Towel/Assist Bars (41519) as strong as the Grab Bars? Can it be put in the shower? Are all grab and assist bars rust proof? Are they stainless steel?

Our Delta model 41519 holds the same wieght as our grab bars which are 300 lbs. They can be installed in the shower as well, and do not have any material that cause rust. Our product is manufactured with a mixture of mitallic and non metallic material.

Can the Delta 12" Contemporary ADA grab bar be installed back-to-back as a shower door handle? Why doesn't Delta make shower door handles to match faucet design and finishes?

The Delta Faucet model 41812-CZ 12" Contemporary Decorative ADA Grab Bar In Champagne Bronze can be installed in the shower as it does not contain any materials that could lead to rusting. Although it is not recommended as a shower door handle it can be used as one as it can support up to 300 lbs of pressure. Shower door handles would be an accessory that is manufactured for Delta Faucet Company by our sister company Liberty Hardware.

Is it possible to install this on a bath deck to assist getting out of the bathtub. If so, would it be necessary to purchase 2 - 1 for each side.

The Delta Faucet model 41812-CZ 12" Contemporary Decorative ADA Grab Bar In Champagne Bronze is recommended to be installed onto a wall or ceramic tile with a wall stud to ensure it remains mounted properly. We cannot guarantee a safe and sturdy installation if it is installed into the deck of a tub.
