The Sanborne™ Round Front Toilet Seat with NightLight in white is powered by 4 AA batteries with an illumination cycle that is 9 hours on and 15 hours off. This slow-close toilet seat helps prevent slamming for a quiet close. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Toilet seat hinge issue Our contractor installed toilet and seat 7 months ago, but 1 hinge has now detached so seat is not secure. We don't have any instructions and can't figure out how to reattach the seat. The hinge is unlike those we've had in the past. Please provide detailed instructions for reattachment. Thank you.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Could Have Been 5 Stars & Luxy Bought just over one month ago. Seat & Cover & Slow Close 100% Installation became a make-work project. Only instructions were on outside of box. A few poor diagrams that caused confusion more than anything. Nuts which provide extra sheath to bolts too big for holes of standard CRANE toilet. No suggestions what to do in this case. No mention that there is a right & left post. Diagrams too small and inexact to tell which is which. Easy lift off only releases from the left side (L when you face the toilet). Right remains hooked on something I cannot find. Am careful to pull straight up at 90°. Occasionally it comes off smoothly as supposed to. Cover for left hinge is starting to crack although extra care given due to the delicate nature of this type of plastic. LIGHT!!! it was a RARE & narrow mind (I am being polite) that conceived an arbitrary 15hr on 9hr off cycle. The photocell has been around for decades. Who is this person or team to tell me how much or little it runs. The light in this seat produces NOTHING of the intensity that is pictured. For CND$5.00 I can buy a far better light that actually lights the bowl and only turns on when someone approaches or the room is dark & then shuts off. Further they only uses3 AAA batteries. This COULD have been a luxy product. The seat matches my bowl perfectly and both it and its lid are obviously of superior quality & build. Canadian Tire offered it at 50% off so at that price I'm not feeling fleeced. This review is for Delta to fix these glaring flaws and to warn anyone who is paying a price that will be $100 when you factor tax. Sincerely

Trying to figure out what the pictures are showing. Or maybe This seat just won't work for our toilet but I cannot get this Seat installed!!

does it have the capabilities for the light to go out when the lid is closed? I want to patient that.
