Solid plastic construction but not solid wood.
I ordered three of these based on the description. It is solid PLASTIC construction, not solid wood as stated. It appears to be well made and the plastic is heavy, plus the overall design is good, however, it is not enamel covered wood, which is what I wanted. I recommend this only if you want plastic.

My slow closing lid is closing to fast is there anything I can use to slow it down. The fluid has seeped out.

You may have received a defective seat. How long ago was this purchased? As long as you are still within the warranty we can replace this for you.
